Dhaka, January 06:- Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is going to replace its contingent at United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Republic of Mali (MINUSMA). As a part of this replacement, 110 BAF members left Dhaka for Mali by a UN chartered aircraft of Bangladesh Biman on Wednesday (06-01-2021).
Group Captain Abdullah Al Farooq, ndc, psc will lead the contingent of Bangladesh Air Force which is going to be deployed in Mali. Mentionable that Bangladesh Air Force has achieved reputation and glory by performing their duties in mitigating conflict with efficiency, professionalism and sincerity in Mali. Special Munajat was offered prior to their departure for Mali at departure lounge of Hazrat Shahjahal International Airport (HSIA) seeking excellence of the contingent in future. Senior BAF officers were present at the airport during departure. Earlier, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc briefed the contingent members on 21 December 2020.
While addressing, Chief of Air Staff advised them to discharge their duties with honesty, professionalism and sincerity and bring honour for Bangladesh Air Force as well as for the country. He emphasized to take preventive actions to reduce the transmission of Coronavirus and remain extra careful about it.
