Dhaka, 25 February:- Closing and prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Base Small Arms Firing Competition of Bangladesh Air Force was held at BAF Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud on Monday (24-02-2025). Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance) Air Vice Marshal Md Zahidul Sayeed, BBP, BUP, ndc, psc witnessed the final event as the Chief Guest, distributed prizes among the Champion and Runner-Up team.
Bangladesh Air Force Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman team became champion by scoring 771 points out of 810 points while Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque team became runner up by scoring 758 points. Flight Lieutenant Md Shams Tabrez of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud team was adjudged as the best shooter by his overall performance. He scored 147 points in Rifle firing and 118 points in pistol firing.
Air Officer Commanding, Senior BAF officers, airmen and other members of the host Base were present on the occasion. Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud Air Vice Marshal A K M Shafiul Azam, OSP, GUP, ndc, psc inaugurated the competition on 23 February 2025. Mentionable that 07 teams of Bangladesh Air Force participated in this 02 day long competition.
