Dhaka, 15 October 2018 :- The Annual Cultural Programme and Prize Giving Ceremony 2017-18 of BAF Shaheen English Medium School (SEMS) was held on Monday (15-10-2018) at the Eagle Hall BAFWWA. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Administration) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar,OSP,ndc,acsc,psc graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He distributed Merit Awards among the meritorious students of BAF SEMS, prizes among the winners of Annual Cultural Competition and ‘Chief of Air Staff Crests’ among the high achievers of O’ Level Exam held on 2017 and 2018.
On the Ceremony Tawafa Binte Shaifullah from Std-IV (Section-Salvia) was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2017’ in Junior Group and Sameer Zia Chowdhury from Std-IX (Section-Robin) was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2017’ in Senior Group. At the same time Ridhima Sarkar from Std-II (Section-Rose) was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2018’ in Junior Group and Adiba Alamgir Mrittika from Std-VIII (Section-Nightingale) was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2018’ in Senior Group. Mohammad Monjur Hossain Chowdhury, Senior Teacher (Physics) was awarded with ‘The Best Teacher 2017-18’.
On this Ceremony, the Chief Guest applauded the remarkable feat attained by the students of the school. He hoped that the school would continue this prosperous trend in future. In the welcome speech, the Principal of BAF SEMS Group Captain Md Mamunur Rashid,afwc,psc, highlighted the outstanding achievements of school in both academic and co-curricular activities. The Prize Giving Ceremony was followed by a delightful cultural function in which the artist of BAF SEMS showcased their talent by rendering songs and performing dance.
Among others, Air Vice Marshal Shafiqul Alam,BSP,ndc,fawc,psc, Air Officer Commanding BAF Base BSR & Chairman Managing Committee of the school, high officials of Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, parents, teachers, office staffs and students of the school were present on the occasion.
