Dhaka, 12 June: The newly appointed Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying floral wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu in Tungipara on Wednesday (12-06-2024). During the wreath laying, a smartly turned out BAF contingent presented a guard of honour to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu in Tungipara. Chief of Air Staff and President of BAFWWA stood in solemn silence for some time in front of the burial chamber of Bangabandhu and joined in a special munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Bangabandhu including all martyrs on 15 August in 1975. After this, they also signed the visitors’ book. Among others’ senior BAF officers and other local dignitaries were present during the occasion.
Mentionable that Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan took over the Command of BAF on 11 June 2024.
