Mirzapur, 24th January 2020: The 2nd day of the 13th Reunion of Ex-Cadets of Mirzapur Cadet College was held on 24th December 2020 amidst much celebration. General Aziz Ahmed, SBP, BSP, BGBM, PBGM, BGBMS, psc, G, Chief of Army Staff, was the Chief Guest of the grand inauguration ceremony. On his arrival he was welcomed by GOC, 9 Inf Division & Area Commander, Savar Area, Principal, Mr. Biman Roy Chowdhury, President of Mirzapur Ex Cadet Association and other dignitaries. The Chief Guest inaugurated the MECA Reunion and took salute of the ceremonial parade. Later he delivered a speech to the Cadets and Ex-Cadets wishing their success and prosperity. On this occasion, Senior Army and Civil Officials, Local Elites, Ex Principals, Vice Principals and Faculty members were also present.
The chief guest inaugurated a colorful Art Exhibition along with a Science Fair at Mirzapur Cadet college premises. The Chief Guest also planted a sapling at the college premises to mark the significance of the day. Thereafter, MECA arranged a fabulous lunch to revive the everlasting bonding of the cadet fraternity.
It is to be mentioned that the three day long MECA Reunion started on Thursday 23th January 2020 was a unique gathering of the ex-cadets of MCC. An emotional environment was created upon the arrival of Ex-Cadets at their beloved Alma Mater. The well appreciated festival ended with a cultural function and fire works by Cadets and Ex-Cadets. In the evening, the guests enjoyed a cultural function and fireworks presented by Cadets and Ex-Cadets.
