MIST MAVIROV Crowned as Champion at MATE ROV International Underwater Robot Competition 2026 in Canada

Dhaka, 02 July 2026 (Thursday):  Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has achieved a remarkable international milestone as Team MIST MAVIROV, formed by students of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE), emerged as the Champion at the MATE ROV International Underwater Robot Competition 2026, held in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, from 23 to 27 June 2026. The prestigious competition brought together 77 teams from 16 countries, including the United States, Canada, China, Saudi Arabia and several other leading nations. Throughout the three-day competition, Team MIST MAVIROV demonstrated exceptional engineering excellence, technical innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities in a series of challenging mission-based tasks, securing first place among the world’s best teams.Team MIST MAVIROV has been actively engaged in underwater robotics research and development for several years.
