DHAKA, April 19:- A C-130J transport aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force returned to Dhaka from China on Sunday (19-04-2020) with medical aids including coronavirus detection kits and personal protective equipment (PPE).
With the direction of the Government of Bangladesh, medical aids including coronavirus detection kits, Surgical Masks-12,22,000, N-95 masks-7,500, Elect Thermometer-130, Protective Gloves-2,000, Medical Safety Glasses-10,200, Goggles-200 and personal protective equipment (PPE)-10,459 from China were transported by BAF C-130J transport aircraft under ‘In Aid to Civil Power’ by Armed Forces Division in preventing coronavirus. It is also important to note that healthcare aids (PPE, masks and sanitizers etc) collected from China were brought by the same aircraft to provide various entities engaged in combating coronavirus in Bangladesh under the initiative of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
It is to be noted that a total 16 Aircrew of Bangladesh Air Force departed from Shah Amanat International Airport, Chattogram for China on Friday (17-04-2020) by BAF C-130J aircraft to transport essential healthcare aids from China to prevent coronavirus. Air Commodore Md Zahidur Rahman GD(P) of Bangladesh Air Force led the team.
