BRIEF BY THE CHIEF OF AIR STAFF TO THE BAF CONTINGENT MEMBERS TO BE DEPLOYED AT UN PEACEKEEPING MISSION IN CONGO AND MALI

Dhaka, January 02:- Bangladesh Air Force is on the verge of replacing its contingent at United Nations Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) and Mali (MINUSMA). Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc briefed the new contingent members to be deployed in Congo and Mali at Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar, Tejgaon on Sunday (02-01-2022).

 

While addressing, Chief of Air Staff advised them to discharge their duties with discipline, honesty, professionalism and sincerity to bring good reputation for Bangladesh Air Force as well as for the country. He emphasized to take preventive action to reduce the transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and remain extra careful about it. Thereafter, he participated in a special munajat arranged for the successful completion of tour of duty.

 

Among others Principal Staff Officers, Air Officers of Dhaka area, senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters and Bases were present on the occasion. Mentionable that total 246 members of 2 contingents (Utility Aviation Unit and Air Transport Unit) are proceeding to DR Congo where BAF deployed 6 X Mi-Series helicopters and 01XC-130B transport aircraft and 110 members of 01 contingent (Airfield Services and Management Unit) are proceeding to Mali where Bangladesh Air Force deployed with required airfield and ground support equipment.
