Dhaka, April 24: Assistant Professor of Urology Department at Khulna Medical College Hospital Dr Masud Ahmed, who is infected with coronavirus, was transferred from Khulna to Dhaka in a critical condition on Thursday (23-04-2020) by MI-17 SH helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force.
Bangladesh Air Force has been providing assistance in dealing with any kind of national disaster. In this coronavirus situation, Bangladesh Air Force is providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces. In line with this, Assistant Professor of Urology Department at Khulna Medical College Hospital, Dr. Masud Ahmed was flown to Dhaka from Khulna on Thursday night by BAF MI-17SH helicopter for better treatment.
Mentionable that, the coronavirus was detected in the body of Dr. Masud Ahmed on 18 April 2020. He was being treated at Khulna Corona Hospital (Diabetic Hospital). When his physiclcondition was deteriorated there, attempts were being made to bring him to Dhaka by road. But, as it was risky to take him to Dhaka by road, he was brought to Dhaka by MI-17SH helicopter of the Air Force. Later, he was taken to Mugda Medical College Hospital.
