Dhaka, December 05:- The passing out parade of Recruits’ Entry No-51 of Bangladesh Air Force was held at the Recruits’ Training School (RTS) in BAF Station Shamshernagar, Moulvibazar on 05 December 2023,Tuesday.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute as the Chief Guest. Later, he distributed trophies among the outstanding recruits. In his short speech, Chief of Air Staff recalled the greatest Bangali of all time, Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bangladesh. He showed respect to the martyred freedom fighters of all members including martyred Birsreshto Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman and members of Kilo Flight whose sacrifice gave us the freedom of Bangladesh. He said, under the firm leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister to build the ÔSonar BanglaÕ of Father of the Nation, under the ÔForces Goal-2030Õ modern aircraft, weapons, equipments are being added and infrastructural development activities are undergoing in Bangladesh Air Force. Chief of Air Staff mentioned that, recently members of Bangladesh Air Force have made training aircraft ÔBangabandhu Basic Trainer-1Õ and ÔBangabandhu Basic Trainer-2Õ for the first time. He also said that, BAF members have been playing a commendable role at national and international arena in disaster management and nation-building activities as well as playing a vital role to save the country’s independence and sovereignty. The Chief of Air Staff urges the recruits to develop themselves as efficient and effective airmen of Bangladesh Air Force through honesty, integrity and sincerity. He hoped that by displaying true patriotism, they would make effective contribution in safeguarding the airspace of Bangladesh.
A total of 398 recruits (Male 359 and Female 39) have passed out today through this parade. AC-2 Missu Chandra Ray and AC-2 Poisal Mollah were adjudged the best recruits in Academic and General Service Training respectively. AC-2 Raihan Sharif was adjudged the best recruit for all round performance. Chief of Air Staff inaugurated flags of Bir Muktijuddha Squadron Leader Liakat Ali Khan, Bir Uttam Squadron, Bir Muktijuddha Flight Sergeant Syed Mansur Ali, Bir Bikrom Squadron, Bir Muktijuddha Air Vice Marshal Sadruddin, Bir Protik Squadron and Bir Muktijuddha Sergeant SM Nurul Haque, Bir Protik Squadron.
Among others, senior officers of Bangladesh Air Force & Bangladesh Army, civil and military dignitaries of the local area were also present in the ceremony.
