A seminar organized by Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) titled “Changing Scenario of Media, Culture & Society in Bangladesh” was held at Bijoy Auditorium in its campus today, Thursday ( 26 April 2018) by the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism under Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies.
In the seminar, BUP VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Pro-VC Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD were present as Special Guests. Professor Dr. Ahaduzzaman M. Ali, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Dhaka University was present as the Keynote Speaker. Brigedier General Md Siddiqul Alam Sikder, BSP, ndc, psc, Dean of Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies moderated the seminar.
The speakers said at the seminar that the media played a very important role in different movements in the past including language movement. Currently the extent of mass media has increased remarkably; but it has not earned to maintain the quality as before. So they called Upon everyone has to keep a close watch on the issue.
BUP High Officials, Officers, Teachers, Journalists of Electronic and Print Media and a large number of students were also present in the seminar.
