Dhaka, 22 November 2018 :- On the occasion of Armed Forces Day-2018, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc accorded reception to the Gallantry Award Holder Freedom Fighters of Bangladesh Air Force at a ceremony at BAF Falcon Hall, Tejgaon on Thursday (22-11-2018).
The Civil Pilots of `Kilo Flight’ who contributed during the liberation war in 1971 and their successors were also awarded in the ceremony. A total 28 Freedom Fighters and their successors were awarded at the reception programme.
Chief of Air Staff exchanged greetings with the Freedom Fighters and their successors. In his speech, Chief of Air Staff remembered the contribution of Freedom Fighters in Liberation War of 1971 with rich tributes and gratitude. He also said that the nation would never forget their sacrifices.
Principal Staff Officers and Senior BAF Officers were also present on the occasion.
