Jashore, 25 October 2018: – Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated newly built Bangabandhu Complex ceremonially as chief guest at BAF Academy, Jashore today, Thursday (25-10-2018).
The Complex was inaugurated by unveiling the plaque of Bust Sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at BAF Academy Parade Ground.
Ministers, three Services Chiefs, High Commissioners/Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, Civil and Military high officials were present at that time.
The Bangabandhu Complex was built as one of the world class training institute in order to materialize the Vision-2041 of the present government. This complex will play a pioneer role in making efficient pilot and well qualified military officials in our country.
Earlier today, on her arrival at BAF Academy, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Shreshtho Matiur Rahman and Commandant of BAF Academy.
Besides, the Prime Minister inaugurated the functioning of 105 Advanced Jet Training Unit and laid foundation stone of Airmen Training Institute of BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram through a vedio conference. During that time, AOC of BAF Base Zahurul Haque, Civil and Military high officials and local elites were present.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon all concerned to work together for keeping the continuity of development flow of Bangladesh Air Force placing forefront profound wisdom and foresightness of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She also promised to provide all out support of government in the development activities of BAF. She hoped that this academy will be lauded internationally for its quality training by utilizing ICT facilities of Bangabandhu Complex and play a vital role in materializing the dream of Digital Bangladesh of present government.
The Prime Minister also hoped that Airmen Training Institute will play a significant role in producing efficient and knowledge-based Airmen in BAF while keeping constant pace with technological development. She further expressed her desire that Advanced Jet Training Unit would produce efficient and professional pilots for Multi-role Fighter Aircraft in future. Mentionable that, a spectacular parade followed by a colourful flypast of different aircraft of BAF was held during the inaugural ceremony of Bangabandhu Complex. The skilled pilots of BAF displayed their impressive flying during flypast.
