Dhaka, June 16:- Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is on the verge of replacing Bangladesh Armed Military Utility Helicopter Unit-5 (BANAMUHU-5) contingent at United Nations Mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA). Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc addressed the contingent members of BANAMUHU-6 at Air Headquarters on Monday (16-6-2025).
While addressing, Chief of Air Staff advised peacekeepers to discharge their duties with honesty, professionalism and sincerity to bring good reputation for Bangladesh Air Force as well as for the country. Thereafter, he participated in a special munajat arranged for the success of the contingent.
Among others Principal Staff Officers, Air Officer Commanding of the Air Bases of Dhaka area, senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters and Bases were present on the occasion.
Mentionable that, BAF deployed 03 (Three) Armed Version Mi-171 helicopters equipped with Night Vision System and necessary ground support equipment in the said mission area. BANAMUHU-6 contingent will be led by Air Commodore Imranur Rahman, BUP, afwc, psc, GD(P). The contingent will depart for Central African Republic from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on 19 June 2025.
