Dhaka, 07 July:- With the kind approval of Hon’ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, the rank of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc has been elevated from Air Marshal to Air Chief Marshal. On Sunday, 07-07-2024 Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc was adorned with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal by Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, psc and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, OSP, NPP, ndc, ncc, psc in presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister at Ganabhaban. During the ceremony, military and civilian high officials were present at the occasion.
On arrival at Air Headquarters after adorning the rank badge, Chief of Air Staff was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out BAF Contingent. After inspecting the guard, Chief of Air Staff planted a sapling at Air Headquarters premises. Thereafter, he took part in a special Munajat seeking peace and prosperity of the nation.
