Dhaka, 03 December 2023, Sunday: The Graduation Ceremony of the National Defence Course 2023 and Armed Forces War Course 2023 unfolded with grandeur in the esteemed Sheikh Hasina Complex at Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur Cantonment on 3rd December 2023. The grand ceremony was graced by His Excellency Mohammed Shahabuddin, the Honourable President, People’s Republic of Bangladesh as the Chief Guest.
Honourable President Mohammed Shahabuddin extended his heartfelt felicitations to all course members of the National Defence Course 2023 and Armed Forces War Course 2023, commending their successful completion of the courses. He expressed profound satisfaction with the high standard of the National Defence College’s curriculum, emphasizing its comprehensive coverage of diverse aspects crucial to national security and development.
The Honourable President, reflecting on the sacrifices made for the nation’s independence, urged all course members to stand united and thwart any conspiracies against the nation’s development and democracy. He passionately solicited them to persistently strive towards realizing the dreams envisioned by the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Kamrul Islam, BBP, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P), the Acting Commandant of the National Defence College, expressed profound indebtedness and gratitude to the Honourable President and the Commander-in-Chief of Bangladesh Armed Forces for gracing the occasion with his kind presence. He acknowledged the President’s encouragement as a driving force for the National Defence College to pursue excellence in security and development studies for the betterment of Bangladesh.
This year, the National Defence Course 2023 saw the participation of 85 Course Members, including 43 from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 13 from Civil Services, and 29 from 17 friendly countries. Simultaneously, the Armed Forces War Course 2023 marked the graduation of 56 distinguished course members from the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, and Bangladesh Air Force.
