Dhaka, 28 June 2025: Bangladesh National Under-18 Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams are set to participate in the “MEN’S AND WOMEN’S U-18 ASIA CUP-25” tournament in Dazhou, China, from July 3rd to 14th, 2025.
Today Saturday (28-6-2025), Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) has organized a jersey unveiling, photo session, and “Meet the Press” event for the Teams at the Falcon Hall of Bangladesh Air Force in Dhaka. Respected Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force and President, Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BPP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc was present as Chief Guest in the program.
Ten other Asian teams will be participating in the Tournament: Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong China, Malaysia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan. Bangladesh achieved the Runners-up position in the last edition of this tournament, held in Bangladesh in 2016. But the Federation is hopeful for a good result this time. Mentionable that, Bangladesh National Under-18 Women’s Hockey team will be participating in the U-18 Asia Cup for the first time.
In his speech, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force and President of the BHF advised the players to maintain discipline while abroad. He instructed playing with discipline, team cohesion, and coordination. He also inspired the players to give their best in every game, but effort and dedication are the keys. Finally, respected BHF President extended his sincere gratitude to everyone. Other officials from Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Hockey Federation were also present.
