Shamshernagar (Moulvibazar), 29 November:- The passing out parade of Recruits’ Entry No-50 of Bangladesh Air Force was held at the Recruits’ Training School (RTS) in BAF Station Shamshernagar, Moulvibazar on 29 November 2022, Tuesday.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute as the Chief Guest. Later, he distributed trophies among the outstanding recruits. In his short speech, Chief of Air Staff recalled the greatest Bengali of all ages Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and valiant freedom fighters with due respect. He said, under the leadership and direction of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Air Force already has been equipped with modern fighter, transport aircraft, helicopters, various types of modern radars, missiles and equipments to fulfill the dream of Father of the Nation to form a modern and capable Air Force. Bangabandhu Complex already has been built in Bangladesh Air Force Academy to ensure better training for future generation and Airmen Training Institute is being constructed to provide skilled manpower. In his speech the Chief of Air Staff advised the recruits to devlop themselves as worthy airmen of Bangladesh Air Force through honesty, integrity and sincerity. He hoped that by displaying true patriotism, they would make effective contribution in safeguarding the airspace of Bangladesh.
Through this parade, 436 (417 men and 19 women) recruits have been included in Bangladesh Air Force after successful completion of 252 days rigorous training. AC-2 Md Tanveen Alam Zidan and AC-2 Md. Kamruzzaman were adjudged as the best recruits in Academics and General Service Training respectively. AC-2 Md Tanveen Alam Zidan was adjudged the best recruit for all round performance. Earlier, Chief of Air Staff was ushered to the parade ground by Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Md Zahidur Rahman, BBP, BSP, GUP, nswc, psc and Officer Commanding of Recruits’ Training School Air Commodore Mohammad Saifuddin, GUP, psc.
Among others, senior officers of Bangladesh Air Force, civil and military dignitaries of the local area were also present in the ceremony.
