Dhaka, September 03:- Wahida Khanam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ghoraghat, Dinajpur, who was injured in a miscreant attack, was airlifted from Rangpur to Dhaka by Bangladesh Air Force MI-171SH helicopter in critical condition on Thursday (03-09-2020).
Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission to the civil administration on a regular basis in aid to civil power. Through the Medical Evacuation mission, Bangladesh Air Force is playing a vital role in providing advanced medical care to seriously ill patients from any part of the country. Mentionable that, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force provided necessary guidance to carry out the mission.
On Wednesday (02-09-2020) night, a group of miscreants entered the official residence of Wahida Khanam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ghoraghat, Dinajpur and hit her on the head with a sharp weapon. She was kept in the ICU of Rangpur Doctors Clinic. When the situation deteriorated, she was transferred from Rangpur to Dhaka on an emergency basis by Bangladesh Air Force MI-171SH helicopter. Later she was taken to National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, Dhaka for better treatment.
