Dhaka, 21 September:- Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc returned home on 21 September 2019 (Saturday) after a 06-days official visit to China.
During visit, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force made a call on with General Wei Fenghe, State Councillor & Minister of National Defence, China and General Ding Laihang, Commander of PLA Air Force. During call on, they exchanged views on bilateral issues of mutual interest. Besides, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force visited different Military and Civil institutions including Aviation Instute of PLAAF Research Academy, China Astronaut Research & Training Center, AVIC Guizhou Aircraft Company Limited, Regiment 1 of Flight Test & Training Base (J-10) and Brigade 4 of Shijiazhuang Flying College (J-7). It is expected that this visit of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will help to modernize BAF by accelerating the process of inducting modern technology in BAF.
During stay in China, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force also met with the high officials of State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND), China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), China National Electronics Import & Export Corporation (CEIEC), China Poly Group, China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corporation (CPMIEC), China Electronics Technology Group (CETC) and Aerospace Long-March International Trade Company Limited (ALIT) and discussed on professional matters. It is also expected that this visit of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will play an important role for strengthening the existing relationship between Bangladesh Air Force and PLA Air Force. Mentionable that Chief of Air Staff of Bangadesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc left Dhaka for China on 15 September 2019 on an official visit at the invitation of PLA Air Force.
