Dhaka, 24 December: – Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc returned home on Thursday (23-12-2021) after an official visit to India. Mentionable that Chief of Air Staff of Bangadesh Air Force left Dhaka for India on 19 December 2021 on an official visit along with spouse and two entourage at the invitation of Chief of the Air staff of Indian Air Force.
At the beginning of the visit to India, Chief of Air Staff paid homage to the members of Indian Armed Forces who had sacrificed their lives during the Independence War of Bangladesh in 1971 by laying floral wreath at Amar Jawan Jayoti Memorial, India Gate. During this visit, Chief of Air Staff called on Chief of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, PVSM AVSM VM ADC at the Air Headquarters and exchange views on different bilateral issues. Earlier, on his arrival at Indian Air Force Headquarters, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force was received with Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent. Besides, Chief of Air Staff also called on Chairman of Chief of Staff Committee (CoSC) & Chief of the Army Staff General MM Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC. Chief of Air Staff also visited various military and civil Industrial facilities in Chandigarh and Mumbai. The visit of Chief of Air Staff is likely to play an important role for strengthening the existing bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and India.
