Dhaka, 22 November 2019 :- On the occasion of Armed Forces Day-2019, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc accorded reception to the Gallantry Award Holder Freedom Fighters of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) at a ceremony held at BAF Falcon Hall, Tejgaon on Friday (22-11-2019).
The Civil Pilots of `Kilo Flight’ who contributed during the liberation war in 1971 and their successors were also awarded reception in the ceremony. A total 28 Freedom Fighters and their successors were awarded reception at the programme. Chief of Air Staff exchanged greetings with the Freedom Fighters and their successors.
In his speech, Chief of Air Staff remembered the contribution of Freedom Fighters (Gallantry Award Holder) in Liberation War of 1971 with rich tributes and gratitude. He also said that the nation would never forget their sacrifices. Principal Staff Officers and Senior BAF Officers were also present on the occasion.
