Dhaka, 29 December 2022:- The closing and prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Base Athletics Competition-2022 of Bangladesh Air Force was held at sports ground of BAF Base Bangabandhu, Dhaka on 29 December 2022, Thursday.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc witnessed the final day’s events as Chief Guest and distributed medals and trophies among the winners. BAF Base Birshreshto Matiur Rahman team won the title with 12 gold, 06 silver and 05 bronze medals while BAF Base Bangabandhu team became runner up with 04 gold, 10 silver and 05 bronze medals. Flying Officer Md Fahim Parvez of BAF Base Birshreshto Matiur Rahman team was adjudged as the best athlete in the competition.
Among others senior BAF officers, Airmen and other members were present on the occasion. Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bangabandhu Air Vice Marshal M A Awal Hossain, BBP, OSP, GUP, ndc, awc, psc inaugurated the competition on 27 December 2022. Mentionable that 07 teams of Bangladesh Air Force participated in this 03 day long competition.
