Dhaka, 16 July 2025: Bangladesh Air Force marked a significant milestone today Wednesday (16-7-2025) with the inauguration of “Air Traffic Control Tower Digital Simulator” which is completely innovated by its own technology at the School of Air Traffic Services (SATS), Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar. The simulator was officially inaugurated by respected Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He praised the School of Air Traffic Services’ Research and Development (R&D) project as a unique achievement in the path of technological self-reliance of Bangladesh Air Force and observed a live demonstration of the simulator, informing about the various features and capabilities of the newly innovated simulator.
The digital simulator is designed to enhance the training of both Air Traffic Controllers & Tower assistants and expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening indigenous training capacity, reducing foreign dependency and expanding the operational capabilities of Bangladesh Air Force.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Staff Officers from Air Headquarters, Vice Chancellor of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh and other senior BAF officers.
