Dhaka, The 20th council meeting of MIST was held on 10 December 2019 at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), on Tuesday (10-12-2019) Mirpur Cantonment. Hon’ble Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP presided over the meeting. Commandant MIST, Major General Md Wahid-Uz-Zaman, ndc, aowc, psc, te welcomed the minister.
The meeting covered important aspects of MIST development like land purchase for accommodation of students, faculty and staff; opening of Counseling and Placement Center (CPC), approval of Discipline Policy-2019 of MIST, promotion of faculties, higher study of civ faculties, approval of total seats for admission of BSc engineering students in different departments, opening of Center for Environmental & Water Management (CEWM) under MIST and various decisions were taken.
Chief of Air Staff and other PSO’s of Army, Navy and Armed Forces Division, VC BUP, Engineer-in-Chief, high ranking representatives of Dhaka University, BUET, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology were present in the meeting.
