DHAKA, 08 November 2022: A “Seminar on Engineering Mathematics to Face IR 4.0 and Intra-MIST Math Olympiad 2022” will was held today, tuesday(08 Nov 2022) at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka organized by the Dept of Science and Humanities.
Respected Commandant, MIST, Major General Md Wahid-Uz-Zaman, BSP, ndc, aowc, psc, te has consented to grace the seminar as chief guest. Keynote speakers Dr. Mohammad Zafar Iqbal, former professor of Shajalal University of Science and Technology, Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, former Prof of BUETand Dr.ManirulAlamSarkar, Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, BUET, Member secretary of National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad Committee will be present.
Mathematics being one of the major streams of pure science is playing the pivotal role in promoting knowledge, skills and efficiency in every sphere of our life and it is an indispensable component of all sciences. The focus of this seminar is to stimulate interest in mathematics among the students, to interact with students of various departments, to sharpen and demonstrate their analytical and problem-solving skills, to bring together exceptionally talented pupils of various Departments of MIST, to make them conversant with the latest development and progress of technology and to create interest for comprehensive research activities
For the first time this Olympiad is organized in MIST and MIST Math Olympiad Club always aim to provide the complex problem solving loving students with a platform to show their passion, creativity and enthusiasm for facing IR 4.0 challenges.
Head/Wing head of the Dept, Deans, Professors, High rank of Military and Civil persons, all faculty members of Scinec and Humanities Dept and students of MIST also were present.
