Dhaka, 09 February 2020:- The Graduation Ceremony of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Course 2019-2020 was held today, Sunday (09 February 2020) at Shekh Hasina Complex, DSCSC, Mirpur Cantoment, Dhaka.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave away certificates to the graduating officers. The Hon’ble Prime Minister in her speech congratulated all the graduates on successful completion of the course. She advised all the graduating officers to contribute to the national development through sincere efforts and dedication.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Commandant, DSCSC, Major General Md Enayet Ullah, BSP, ndu, psc delivered his welcome address. In his speech, the Commandant mentioned that, this year the graduation ceremony is a special one as it is held at a moment in the year of birth centenary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He expressed his deep gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for her gracious presence and consistent support for the development of the College and the professional growth of the armed forces.
This year, in DSCSC 2019-2020 course, total 235 officers including 125 officers from Bangladesh Army, 34 officers from Bangladesh Navy, 22 officers from Bangladesh Air Force and 54 overseas officers from 21 countries namely China, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, USA and Zambia graduated from this College.
Mentionable that, Defence Services Command and Staff College is a tri-service training institution of Bangladesh Armed Forces. The purpose of this institution is to prepare selected mid-level officers of three services for the assumption of increasing responsibilities both in command and staff appointments. So far 5,253 Bangladeshi officers, five Police Officers and 1,165 overseas officers from 42 friendly countries have graduated from this College.
Invited Minister, Acting Chief of Army staff Lieutenant General Md Shamsul Huque, OSP, psc, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury, NBP, OSP, BCGM, PCGM, BCGMS, ndc, psc; Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP,OSP, ndu, psc; Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division, Principal Staff Officers of Three Services, Invited Senior Secretary, Members of the Parliament, BRAC University, Bangladesh University of Professionals, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University, academicians, Ambassadors/High Commissioners and the Defence/Military attaches of the countries representing in the course and other senior military and civil officials were present in the ceremony.
